1. Eat a proper breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is the first set of food that you take after a long break; during sleeping. Hence, a very nutritious diet in the morning is an essential. Most people as a habit have sweet foods such as pancakes and waffles. However, sugar is something you need to avoid intake early morning. Carbohydrates too need to be avoided and hence stay away from bread, white rice, gluten free noodles in UAE etc. Complex carbohydrates such as cereal, oatmeal etc. are healthy for you. Other key nutrients are fiber, proteins and healthy fats such as nuts, avocados etc.

2. Don’t rely on coffee
This is an important point for those strong coffee drinkers. Mostly at work, you may have the habit of drinking coffee to keep you pumped up and energized. However, it could be dangerous if you rely on it too much. Your liver, which is the detoxifier of your body gets tired by the overload of coffee which then results in chronic diseases and weight gain. Hence, stick to one cup per day as much as possible. You can either drink in the morning or at night. Herbal teas are a great substitute for coffee if you want to try out.

3. Dine out the smart way
Most people forget about dieting plans when they come to a restaurant. They order everything they could possibly eat. However, you need to be mindful on some words. Words such as fried, crispy, sautéed etc. indicate that the food is high in calories and fat. So, choose food that are baked, grilled, poached, roasted, steamed etc. use minimum oil in the food-making. Better options would be salads, creamy soup etc. that are very healthy and light and hence perfect for lunch or dinner.

4. Stay hydrated
Water is one of the most important aspects in maintaining health. All the health benefits through drinking water throughout the day is amazing. It cleanses your system, keeps you energized and gives you glowing skin. Always carry a mini water bottle with you which is very convenient. Count the number of times you fill it up. You need to drink at least eight glasses of water to stay fit and fresh. Try to drink room-temperature that cold water since cold water disturbs the smooth digestion.
